Doctor Who has now proved itself to be the best boy’s license of the past few years. The Doctor Who Christmas Episode featuring Kylie Minogue was a highlight in the Christmas schedule, the second highest rated show of the day and comfortably the slot winner with 13.3 million viewers and a staggering 50% audience share! The audience peaked at a huge 13.8 million and was the largest audience that the show has secured across the previous 3 series. Series 4 hits our screens in Spring 08 where Catherine Tate returns as Donna. The sleek new 2008 DNC lunch and stationery ranges features that well known Doctor Who enemy the Daleks and look set to continue to dominate the boys market.

Roary the Racing Car is the fantastic pre-school property from Chapman Entertainment. Following in the footsteps of the success of Fifi this cheeky, energetic new character is already taking the pre-school boys market by storm! DNC are offering a wide range of lunch, tableware and drinkware products to allow every retailer to maximise the potential of this great new opportunity.

Hot Wheels proved itself in 2007 to be a great all year boy’s brand. Over 10 million cars are sold in the UK each year to an audience of 1.8 million boys aged 4-9 yrs. DNC continue their support of this successful brand with their new lunch range, which is an absolute boys must have!

Polar Gear is DNC’s own brand for plain and decorated lunch products for both girls and boys. Our range this year features a fantastic plain offer and another strong selection of decorated product including a fantastic new reincarnation of our successful Kitten design and a great boy’s 3D Football lunch bag with whistle!

The Rachael Hale brand has consistently proved itself to be one of the strongest performing girls license’s in the UK. Unique amongst other photo real animal images Rachael Hale has the ability to capture the individuality and character of the world’s most loveable animals. DNC’s 2008 ranges will enchant animal lovers of all ages and spans a wide range of lunch and stationery products.

High School Musical is the tween licensing phenomenon of 2007 and 2008. This smash hit license hit the shelves at the end of 2007 and across the board retailers are simply running to keep up with demand. Over 1.74 million kids tuned in for the UK premiere night of High School Musical 2 – and with High School Musical 3 set for release in October it looks like demand for this hot property will just keep on throughout 2008. DNC are offering a wide range of High School Musical lunch products adapted to this tween age group including new lunch tins which will showcase at Spring Fair.

The second most wanted character for girls 9-11yrs is the Disney Channel’s smash hit Hannah Montana. With the series about the secret pop start Miley Stewart aka Hannah Montana also on free to air view on Channel Five and an amazing 3D music concert tour planned for 3D cinemas from March onwards it looks like demand for this leading girls tween franchise will just build and build. DNC’s Hannah Montana range will showcase at Spring Fair.

Fifi and the Flowertots remains the No 1 pre-school girl’s license in the UK. The series created by Keith Chapman of Bob the Builder fame consistently achieves fantastic viewing figures for its age group on the highly acclaimed Channel 5 Milkshake slot. A 30/40 min Fifi special is being made in 2008 as the brand continues to go from strength to strength. Pretty new designs have refreshed this design which has great girl appeal.
